Birthdays are very important days in the lives of our students. In order to celebrate birthdays safely, I would ask that you please observe CFB's food policy. The observation of this policy will ensure a safe and fun day for all students, including the birthday girl/boy.

Dear Parents/Guardians:
This letter is to inform you that there are students in your child’s classroom that have a severe food allergy to Peanuts, Tree Nuts and Sesame Seeds. It is important that there is strict avoidance of these foods in the classroom in order to prevent a life-threatening allergic reaction. We are asking you to help provide these students with a safe school environment.
Any exposure to peanuts, tree nuts or sesame seeds will cause a life-threatening allergic reaction that requires immediate emergency medical treatment. To reduce the chance of this occurring, we are asking you that you do not send in any snacks that may contain peanuts, tree nuts or sesame seeds. We realize that this requires label reading and again appreciate your help.
Below is a list of some products that are safe to bring to school for a snack. (This precaution is for snack alone, it does not include lunch.)
Fruit Raisins/Craisins Yogurt without toppings
Vegetables Fruit cups
Skinny pop popcorn
Please avoid baked goods and nut butters in any form.
Below is a great website that can assist you in choices for a safe snack:

If your child has eaten any products that contain peanuts or tree nuts, please be sure that your child’s hands and face have been thoroughly washed before entering school.
Again we appreciate your support. Please contact me if you have any further questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Jason Phelps, MED, CAGS, Principal
