Homework
Dear Parents & Guardians,
Please read 1-3 below with your student, both sign, and send back the bottom portion of this sheet. Listed below is what your student can expect for a typical (4 night week). Homework grades are reflected in the social/work habits section of the report card. I will always accept late homework as the practice is what is most important, but lateness is noted.
1.) Read a minimum of 20 minutes each night, complete a READO square for each night
-The READO grid is due on the first day of the next month
Ex. September READO is due October 1 or next possible school day
-The READO should be passed in every Friday so that I can check on progress
-If any squares require written work, please staple it to the grid to hand in
-Initial each box as your child completes the activity
-If every box is complete for the month, your child will receive a bear
2.) Spelling review - practice the current week’s spelling words at home
-Spelling City is a nice resource to practice words (Mrs. Granchelli’s website)
-Spelling words are on my website: https://mrnardonesclass.weebly.com/spelling.html
3.) Multiplication math packets
-All 4 pages by Friday (fewer pages on shorter weeks)
-This work will become more personalized as the year progresses
*Everyday Math home links and online math programs will only be required IN SCHOOL, but your child is welcome to use any programs he/she finds enjoyable and accessible at home
**********
Parents, please communicate with me about homework. It's my goal that homework is a positive experience for your student.
